SHAKUGAN NO SHANA is a manga & anime series (available in the US from VIZ and Geneon respectively) about a perpetual war between forces of balance and imbalance in the universe, featuring a soldier from the side of balance who comes to be known simply as Shana. The novel series has sold an astonishing 4 million copies in Japan and is illustrated by Noizi Ito, now well known for his work on The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya.
